Come see or watch again the filmed conference of November 2025 by Jean-Denis Vigne, archaeologist and naturalist.
The domestication of animals marks a major change in the history of humanity, but also in that of the biosphere. When, where, and how did humans begin to appropriate animal populations? Rather than an appropriation, is it not more a particular form of interaction between humans and other animals, an entry into reciprocal familiarity, or even the birth of a hybrid form of society between species? Archaeozoology and palaeogenetics shed new light on these questions.
