By delving into the very origins of scientific and naturalist observation, Sex-appeal, the Scandalous Life of Nature traces the development of scientific knowledge about sexuality and, through it, the transformations in our perception of the world.
Where do we come from? What is our place in the evolution process? Do we have the ability to master nature? Is there a hierarchy in living species, and are we a superior species? What impact is Mankind really having on the Earth?
A real pre-historical burial site, discovered in 1928 on Téviec Island, just off the coast of Quiberon, France, is at the centre of a thrilling scientific investigation:
Who are these human beings huddled together in the same burial place? What is the meaning behind the objects surrounding them? What do they tell us about our origins?
The Toulouse Natural History Museum has been touring its finest temporary exhibitions since 2011.
We are now experts at producing turnkey exhibitions perfectly suited to your constraints and facilities, from 100 to 700 square meters.
Original productions
Every year, we develop new, and occasionally surprising or unprecedented partnerships, such as our coproduction with the Musée des Confluences in Lyon (Magic), the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels (Baby Animals), the Cité de l’Espace (Water from Above, Astro Kid), or even our collaboration with the animation studio TAT productions (The Jungle Bunch).
Hosting a travelling exhibition from Toulouse Natural History Museum means that you benefit from:
a successful exhibition, tried and tested by our visitors;
personalised support (in terms of museography and scenography);
personalised advice on any questions related to hosting the exhibition (legal, logistical, administrative);
additional resources if you wish to enhance your programme (visitor interpretation kit, communication kit, etc.).
Our exhibitions travel all over the world
Colombia, Senegal, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and so on. Our exhibitions travel both nationally and internationally and have already reached over 2 million visitors.
A team of experts underpins the design and creation of our travelling exhibitions: travelling exhibition managers, museographers, scenographers, technical directors, logistics specialists and graphic designers. They go on the road to supervise the planning, promotion, setup and management of our exhibitions in their temporary homes.
